Meet our Founder/CEO

Hello! I'm Fayona Matisse, a passionate musician and the founder and CEO of Matisse Records. My love for music started at the age of five when I taught myself to play piano, later studying under Margaret Donlin. As a singer-songwriter, I focus on creating heartfelt, piano-driven music, blending storytelling with emotion.

My musical journey has led me to write and release several singles, including Not to Follow the Heart and Am I, with the support of talented collaborators like Gary Mauer and Dana Fuchs in the Brooklyn recording scene. My latest release, Broken Bullied and Bruised, was crafted during my first year at Berklee College of Music with the help of producer Steve Sharpe.

As an upcoming Berklee graduate, I am currently working on an exciting new EP, slated for release next summer, and continue to grow both as an artist and a leader in the music industry.
